Selling a business you built is one of the most significant decisions you'll ever make. We founded this firm because we believe you deserve an advisor who treats it that way.
Why We Exist
We work with people who have spent years, sometimes decades, building something real. We understand what's at stake when it's time to consider what comes next.
Our clients are founders who built businesses over decades, private equity sponsors seeking operational insight, and boards navigating pivotal decisions. We serve them with the intensity and discretion their circumstances demand.
We accept a limited number of clients each year to ensure each receives the attention they deserve.
How We Work
Every engagement is built on four commitments that define how we operate and what clients can expect from us.
To protect what is shared with us. Discretion is the foundation of trust. We treat every piece of information as if our own reputation depends on its protection.
To be honest about what we see. Clients deserve clear-eyed assessments, not comfortable narratives. We tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.
To be rigorous in how we work. Every analysis is thorough. Every process is disciplined. We leave nothing to chance because the stakes do not permit it.
To keep our interests inseparable from yours. Our success is measured by your outcome. We structure engagements to ensure our incentives never diverge from your objectives.
Our Story
A. George & Co. was founded by Alex George after a career advising institutional clients at the World Bank IFC, Point72 Asset Management, and Carriage Hill.
That experience revealed a gap in the market: founders of facility management businesses deserved access to the same caliber of advice available to larger enterprises, delivered by advisors who understood their specific industry.
Today, we operate from New York and serve clients across North America, bringing institutional rigor to the middle market.

“A transaction is a singular event in the life of a business. It should be treated with the seriousness that implies.”
